Happy June & happy almost summer, since summer is around the corner, I thought focusing on our summer Self-care would be a great intention for the month.


Self-care is seasonal ☀️


It isn’t something that should only be reserved for winter, weekends, or when we finally fall apart from lack of self-care.


Self-care during summer is all about embracing the vibrant energy & beauty of the season.


So welcome in some self-care this summer by prioritizing activities that promote joy, creativity, & being in nature while also invigorating your health, energy, & well-being.


I believe that by prioritizing your wellbeing & practicing self-care, you can make beautiful summer days even more enjoyable, so I've created a list of Summer Self-care ideas for you below:


☀️Summer-ify your workouts - Exercise outside

☀️Take your meditation & yoga practice outdoors

☀️Update your skincare routine - exfoliate, use proper sunscreen & moisturize

☀️Go Earthing

☀️Shop your local outdoor farmers market

☀️Plan monthly picnics

☀️Prepare your favorite summer meal

☀️Eat seasonal fruits/veggies

☀️Volunteer with your local library, animal shelter, or food bank

☀️Read a book or two over the summer

☀️Dig in the dirt - garden or join community garden

Summer will be here soon, and it’s the perfect season to prioritize self-care & focus on your well-being.


So plan/include daily activities that promote joy, creativity, and being in nature while also invigorating your health, energy, & well-being.


Make a Summer Self-care list of things that you can do daily that are just for you - mind body and soul.


Then, start adding the things from your Summer Self-care list to your daily agenda and/or to-do lists and see for yourself how tailoring your self-care seasonally can uplift and energize you all year round.

When things get chaotic is when we need self-care the most, so during the fun, busy, social, adventurous months of summer, when kids tend to be home on summer break, is not the time to hit the pause button on your self-care, it's actually more important.


The best gift you can give yourself and your loved ones is a happy, healthy you.



8 Ways to Prioritize Your Self-care this summer ☀️


☀️Hydrate: Start your day with a glass of water and apply sunscreen


☀️Exercise: Being active can improve your mood, sleep, and mental and physical well-being


☀️Schedule time: Make time in your schedule for yourself and the things you enjoy doing


☀️Practice gratitude: Research suggests that people who are more grateful tend to be healthier and take better care of themselves


☀️Eat healthy: Eating well can help you maintain a healthy weight, energy levels, and overall health
