Happy July! 💖
Midway through summer and I'm FEELING this Self-care & Self-love summer, not sure about you, but I need to stay focused on my self-care & self-love practices & routines all year round, and find that needs & intentions change with the seasons.
So for the month of July I'm focusing on my self-love specifically my inner dialog, and my inner bestie and encourage you to do the same.
Let's be our own inner bestie, and practice more positive self-talk this summer 💖

...so this month let's continue the self-care with some Summer Self-love specifically that inner voice.
Is your inner voice a bully or a bestie?
For a long time mine was a horrible bully, seeking perfection all the time, and constantly judging everything!
In my late teens I came across a book by Louise Hay, "I Love My Body: A 30-day Affirmation Guide to a Healthy, Beautiful Body" and it kicked off my spiritual/personal growth journey.
AFFIRMATIONS FOR LOVING THE BODY:

One of the first steps/practices I took was to work on my inner dialog, first becoming aware of it, then replacing or rewriting new things to say to myself.
I created an affirmation card filled with my personal affirmations that I needed at that time, I'd also write my affirmations out and leave them in specific spots so that I could see them frequently, I would keep my affirmation card in my purse and took it with me everywhere I went, I'd pull it out whenever I needed to reinforce positive self-talk and embrace my inner bestie.
Here's one of my original affirmation cards, used with loving intentions, tattered and torn, I had to keep it, to remind me just how far I've come.
It took a minute, well tbh, it took several years of daily practice to rewire my inner bully to an inner bestie. So don't give up, keep going, and one day like me, you'll wake up and realize that your inner bully is quiet, and that your inner bestie has totally moved in!
