Less Stress More Living: Stress Awareness - Tips, Resources and Information

Stress less, live more, worry less and love more. Tips to worry and stress less, and tips and ways to live and love more.

Managing worry and stress in healthy ways is more important than ever.

We live in a society that promotes stress and makes worrying seem like it's what we're supposed to do.

Becoming aware of what causes us stress and worry and doing what we can to reduce it as well as manage it improves our quality of life exponentially.

April is Stess Awareness month, so for this months intentions, let's focus on less stress & worry, and on more living & loving.

"April is recognized as National Stress Awareness Month to bring attention to the negative impact of stress. Managing stress is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle. Knowing how to manage stress can improve mental and physical well-being as well as minimize exacerbation of health-related issues. ~ https://hr.nih.gov/working-nih/civil/national-stress-awareness-month

Are you a worrier? Do you overthink and stress?

I am a total worrier, and I used to think that if I wasn't stressed out, worried and overthinking, then I must not be working hard enough.

Thankfully, I found another way, that, I realized I actually did have a choice!

So one day I woke up, and made a decision to no longer put my needs last on the list, and started taking care of myself, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, and really started getting a handle on my stress and worry.

Like, weeding and tending to an old overworked overlooked garden, that needed lots of tending to.

I pulled negative thoughts like weeds, and planted seeds of love instead of fear, and watered and maintained healthy positive ways to get rid of or at least manage my stress and worry.

Eliminating the things that caused me stress and worry was much easier than I thought it would be. On the other hand, I realized creating a life that didn't revolve around stress and worry was a life-long journey and would take daily work to ensure that they wouldn't sneak their way back in and take over my life.

That's where my self-care toolkit and self-care and self-love practices became so meaningful and important.

For example my morning routine of:

Prayer

Meditation

Affirmations

Gratitude

Exercise

Helps, to set me up in healthy ways, in all areas of my life to have a good day, one that's not filled with stress and worry, but of more living and loving.

And then one day I decided that hurry and stress were no longer going to be part of my life.
Stress is self-created; I decided to stop manufacturing it.
We can choose an internal calm and joy even amid the chaos.
~ Brendon Burchard

Remember, most of your stress comes from the way you respond, not the way life is.
Adjust your attitude.
Change how you see things. Look for the good in all situations.
Take the lesson and find new opportunities to grow.
Let all the extra stress, worrying, and overthinking go.
